ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to find the optimal combination dyeing condition for the enhancement of dye uptake and union dyeing of the composite material fabric made of triacetate and quick drying PET blended yarn. For the experiment, fabrics were one-bath combination dyed using the mixed dye of E-type disperse dye(C.I Disperse red 50) and S-type disperse dye(C.I. Disperse red 92) to measure dyed fabric`s dye exhaustion, dye uptake, color and color difference according to the diverse conditions including dying temperature, time and mixed ratio of the dye. Dye equilibrium of combination dyeing occurred in 100℃, but by comparing dyed fabrics` K/S value and surface color, it was found that 120℃ was where the manifestation of color of triacetate and quick drying PET was identical. Mixed dye exhaustion and dye uptake merely changed as dyeing time increased, but color became more uniform. Therefore, it can be concluded that by using combination dyeing method, and by using the mixed dye which the mixing ratio of S-type dye and E-type dye is appropriately controlled, dye uptake can be improved compared to using single dyeing regardless of the color of E-type dye.

KJSES 19(4) 21-32, 2016 |
ABSTRACT
Studies have observed various phenomena regarding the effect of the interaction between type, price, and brand image of a product on consumers` purchase intent and product quality perception. Yet, few have studied the effect of the interaction between product type and manufacturing method on these factors. However, the advent of three-dimensional (3D) printers added a new manufacturing method, 3D printing, to the traditional methods of handicraft and automated machine-based production, and research is necessary since this new framework might affect consumers` purchase intent and product quality perception. Therefore, this study aimed to verify the effects of the interaction between product type and manufacturing method on purchase intent and product quality perception. To achieve this, in our experiment 1, we selected product types with different characteristics (drone vs. violin vs. cup), and measured whether consumers preferred different manufacturing methods for each product type. The results showed that consumers preferred the 3D printing method for technologically advanced products such as drones, the handmade method for violins, and the automated machine-based manufacturing method, which allows mass production, for cups. Experiment 2 attempted to verify the effects of the differences in manufacturing method preferences for each product type on consumers` purchase intent and product quality perception. Our findings are as follows: for drones, the purchase intent was highest when 3D printing was used; for violins, the purchase intent was highest when the violins were handmade; for cups, the purchase intent was highest when machine-based manufacturing was used. Moreover, whereas the product quality perception for drones did not differ across different manufacturing methods, consumers perceived that handmade violins had the highest quality and that cups manufactured with 3D printing had the lowest quality (the purchase intent for cups was also lowest when 3D printing was used). This study is anticipated to provide a wide range of implications in various areas, including consumer psychology, marketing, and advertising.

KJSES 19(4) 33-40, 2016 |
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to improve social protection and benefits for pregnant women with the usage of LED care emblem. The study was conducted in the Seoul Metro by two research assistants on January 20th to 30th, 2015. One of subjects wore the LED care emblem and the other was present to record the data. An experiment was carried out total 60 times by wearing LED care emblem in 2 positions (ⓐ necklace and ⓑ bag), and 3 usages of Light (① Constant light, ② No light which is like existing care emblem, and ③ blinking light at one-second intervals). Experimental results show there was a significant difference depending on the type of light. Mostly seat offering was the type of light ① Constant light and it has 8 times (13.4%). The type of light ③ blinking light at one-second intervals has only 2 times (3.4%) seat offering. However, there were no seat offerings at the type of light ② No light. Meanwhile, there were no significant differences in wearing position, time, the number of people in the train and gender. This study suggests that it is necessary to make LED care emblem with constant light in order to induce spontaneous seat offering.

KJSES 19(4) 41-54, 2016 |
ABSTRACT
Recently, in the arena of online shopping, the gap between offline channel and online channel tends to be narrowed significantly. Though previous studies also represent this trend, it still remains ambiguous how much offline trust has a significant influence on user`s online shopping behaviors. Furthermore, those research issues such as how individual neuroticism, uncertainty, and transaction cost plays an important role in explaining user`s online shopping satisfaction and continuance intention. In this sense, this study aims to organize a new research model including offline trust, uncertainty, transaction cost, satisfaction, and continuance intention. Especially, we are interested in investigating how much moderating effects the individual neuroticism possesses for the paths among the rest of constructs. By using 406 valid questionnaires, we found empirically that transaction cost affects user`s online shopping continuance intention, but it has no influence on satisfaction. The individual neuroticism has full moderating effects on the paths on the rest of constructs included in the proposed research model.

ABSTRACT
As times change rapidly the lifestyle, personality, and values of men have changed diversely. Not only have preferences for men`s clothing changed, men`s fashion market has also grown, and novel, non-preexisting styles have come into place. Also, there are many studies on sensibility of women`s fashion while studies on sensibility of men`s fashion are insufficient. This study categorized common styles for men in their 20s into 7 different representative samples and investigated consumers` sensibility evaluations for each representative sample. Style 1 (suit), style 2 (rider jacket + skinny pants), style 3 (blouson + straight pants), style 4 (cardigan + half pants), style 5 (military jacket + straight pants), style 6 (loose fit jacket + skinny pants), and style 7 (baseball jumper + straight pants) were prepared in the evaluation questionnaire. The study compared male and female interest and knowledge of men`s fashion, evaluated the sensibility difference depending on the men`s fashion, analyzed whether there is a difference between preferred men`s clothing and actual wearing of the clothing, and examined the preferred style in relation with the lifestyle. The results are as follows: First, men`s fashion was diversified and subdivided, and interest and knowledge about men`s fashion was greater for males than females. Second, sensibility of men`s fashion had significant differences depending on the style, and it did not depend on genders. Third, there was a clear difference between the most favored style by the 20s and the actual style they commonly wear; the favored style and the actual worn style were consistent 66.1% of all the cases, inconsistent 33.9% of those. Style 3 had the highest preference and the actual wearing rate, and style 5 was the least preferred and worn. Fourth, the more extroverted lifestyle rather than introverted one, the more it was likely to prefer diverse styles.

KJSES 19(4) 83-94, 2016 |
ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to investigate effective expression method of performance information of functional clothing and preferred alternatives for the categorized consumer groups according to the perception about the functional outdoor jacket. 472 males and females in their 20s-60s` were surveyed and their answers were analysed and categorized by using SPSS 21.0 statistical program. For the study, four different expression methods for waterproof & breathable fabric, `illustration only`, `illustration+Korean text`, `illustration+foreign text`, and `chart with Korean text`, were presented and asked for finding correct answers. The analysis was done for three categorized consumer groups from the former study, `unconversant/brand & design pursuing group`, `conversant/function pursuing group` and `high price/high function preferring group`. The results showed that regardless of groups, `picture only` was the most preferred method and `graph` was the least. However, the percentage of correct answers for the `graph` was the biggest, especially for `conversant/function pursuing group`. It implied that the effective expression method should be differentiated depending on the target consumer groups. `Conversant/function pursuing group` more agreed on the need for additional information, such as `after-washed performance`, than other two groups.

KJSES 19(4) 110-125, 2016 |
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to propose a proper method for the multilevel mediation analysis, for which the hierarchical method should be utilized, then MLM (multilevel modeling) approach as a hierarchical method has been popularly utilized until MSEM (multilevel structural equation modeling) approach was not proposed. This purpose was covered by three research questions about statistical methods, analytic procedure, and real example. First, MSEM statistical method was preferred to MLM method for its estimation accuracy and analytic flexibility. Second, the four-step procedures of model building, assumption examination, model comparison, and coefficient testing were proposed for the multilevel mediation analysis. Third, the real data of 2695 students of elementary and secondary schools and 89 teachers were analyzed in the multilevel directions of 2→2→1 and 1→1→2. Out of these directions of 2→2→1, and 1→1→2 model, only the coefficient of 2→2→1 model was significant at the 95% CI. Mplus programs used for the real example are attached on the Appendix. Based on the results, significance and limitations of this study, were discussed in detail.

KJSES 19(4) 111-118, 2016 |
ABSTRACT
Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus can complain of abnormal sensation and pain which derived from the peripheral nerve damage. Various words used to be describe abnormal sense and pain, such as sharp, hot, dull, cold, sensitive, and itch. To diagnose diabetic peripheral neuropathy, several screening instruments (Neuropathic Pain Scale, NPS; Michigan Neuropathy Screening Instruments, MNSI) and electrophysiological study can be used. In this study, we aim to analyze and compare the clinical and electrophysiological characteristics of 11 patients with diabetes mellitus and abnormal sense/pain (Disease Group, DG) and 10 patients with diabetes mellitus and normal sense (Control Group, CG). In addition, we aim to reveal correlation between NPS subscore and electrophysiological parameters. As a result, the scores of NPS and MNSI in DG were significantly higher. In nerve conduction study, median motor nerve and peroneal nerve showed significant functional change. Also, median motor nerve, posterior tibial nerve and sural nerve showed negative correlation as NPS subscore increased. These results mean increased pain can be associated with abnormal nerve function. It needs to be further explored for larger size of subjects to get confirmative results.
