ABSTRACT
This research was to investigate the effect of fatigue reduction and heart rate recovery (HRR) according to whole body vibration (WBV). 20 healthy participants were recruited and divided into vibration group (VG) and none vibration group (NVG). VG was group with provided vibration and NVG was group without vibration. They exercised slope gait with 8.5 degree and 4km/h during 30min. They rested on the chair type vibrator during 30min. The vibration consists of 10hz as frequency and 5mm as amplitude. We measured the lactate in the blood and HRR before, immediately after exercise and after rest session. The results showed that lactate level in VG the more decreased at 95.2%. The result of HRR was similar including recovery at 50.67% in VG. The WBV with stimulated vessel in muscle assisted the recovery function by reducing the excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC) quickly and improving blood circulation. The rest with WBV could provide efficient cool-down exercise for elderly and women without other physical activities after exercise.

KJSES 19(1) 11-20, 2016 |
ABSTRACT
This study was performed to examine how intrinsic acceptance for happenstance(IAH) affects evaluation of the means to achieve additional goals when the additional goals are happened to be added to the original means-goal link. Specifically, participants were asked to evaluate the effectiveness of means(e.g., exercise and saving) to achieve additional goals which are either more or less relevant to the means. The result showed that participants with high IAH were more likely to think that the original means is effective to accomplish additional goals than those with low IAH. This pattern, however, was found only when the additional goals are relevant to the means. When the relevance of the additional goals to the means was low, there was no difference in evaluation of the effectiveness of the means to achieve additional goals between participants with high and low IAH. Future research and implications of this study for goal-systems theory and intrinsic acceptance for happenstance were discussed.

ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to find whether the perception of facial attractiveness is influenced by gender, age and kinds of affective dimensions(sharp/soft, babyish/mature). In the study the participants (48 elementary school students, 44 middle school students, 39 university students comprised of 60 males and 71 females) were shown the photos of sixty female faces and asked to grade each face on a nine point scale in three different dimensions (sharp/soft, babyish/mature, attractive/unattractive). Results using Multi-level analysis, faces that were babyish and soft were perceived as more attractive regardless of gender and age. But differences were found in the strength of facial attractiveness by gender and age. Two groups (elementary school students and middle school students) perceived the same photos of female faces to be less attractive than the university students. Also, male participants perceived the faces to be less attractive than female participants. Moreover the study showed a significant difference between university students and elementary school students in relation to the sharp/soft dimension and this dimension was more influential on elementary school students than university students. These results further suggest that if a face looks babyish and soft, then the face will be perceived as attractive regardless of gender or age. However, the degree of facial attractiveness perceived depends on the participant``s gender and age.

ABSTRACT
The brain and muscles both of which are composed of top-down structure occur the connectivity with the change of Electroencephalogram(EEG) and Electromyogram(EMG). In this paper, we studied the difference of functional connectivity between brain and muscles that by applying coherence method to EEG and EMG signals when users exercised upper limb with and without the movement intention. The changes in the EEG and EMG signals were inspected using coherence method. During the upper limb exercise, the mu (8~14 Hz) and beta (15~30 Hz) rhythms of the EEG signal at the motor cortex area are activated. And then the beta and piper (30~60 Hz) rhythms of the EMG signal are activated as well. The result of coherence analysis between EEG and EMG showed the coefficient of active exercise including movement intention is significantly higher than passive exercise. The coherence relations between cognitive response and muscle movement could interpret that the connectivity between the brain and muscle appear during active exercise with movement intention. The feature of coherence between brain and muscles by the status of movement intention will be useful in designing the rehabilitation system requiring feedback depending on the users’ movement intention status.

KJSES 19(1) 39-48, 2016 |
ABSTRACT
This research aims to identify innovative companies`` attention to the emotion and sensibility and its application by analyzing the contents of the corporate annual reports. Annual report is a good reference data because it describes not only various current products and services`` annual activities and business performance but also corporate future direction. Sensibility is interpreted and used with various words internationally: various related terms such as sensibility, sense, emotion, feeling and affection are analyzed not only by the definition but also the interrelationship among them, and included for the contents analysis. To select the innovative companies, the researcher used ‘Fast company’ that is the economic journal and deducted the companies list via ‘The world’s 50 most innovative companies’ in 2009 and 2014. Listed companies`` 2009 and 2014 annual reports`` contents were analyzed to identify the rate of the recognition and the application of sensibility to their business. Even though the quantitative result of the content analysis indicates not a strong relationship between corporate innovativeness and ``sensibility`` qualitative result identifies companies are paying more attention to the ``sense`` and ‘feeling’ during five years. In conclusion, the innovation that company pursues strategically is shifting from differentiation and the technological leadership to satisfying user experiences and the number of companies which express and measure user feeling and emotions are increasing.

Survey of Clothing Behavior for Breast Cancer Women After Surgery: Comparison Between a Breast-Conserving Surgery Group and a Mastectomy Group
|

KJSES 19(1) 49-60, 2016 |
ABSTRACT
This study examines the similarities and differences in the clothing habits between a breast-conserving surgery group (68 patients) and a mastectomy group (45 patients). In common, both parties expressed that they did not want to conspicuously display their altered body shape from the surgical procedure, and they also confirmed that they did not want to be treated as breast cancer patients by others. On the other hand, a mastectomy group significantly preferred clothes, bras and breast prostheses which enhance the body silhouette in comparison to the patients who received breast-conserving surgery. However, the patients who received breast mastectomies reported that the bras and breast prostheses available have been expensive with low emotional satisfaction, calling for particular need in specialized clothing for female patients who undergo breast surgery. Hence, this research to further the development of clothes, bras and breast prostheses for Korean women who must undergo breast surgery would be effective in helping to improve body image and quality of life in these women.

KJSES 19(1) 61-70, 2016 |
ABSTRACT
3D visual fatigue is known as one of the most important factors that interfere the commercial success of 3D contents. Vergence-accommodation conflict, which is known to occur when an observer watches an image containing binocular disparity presented on a 3D display, has been suggested as a major cause of 3D visual fatigue. This implies that any image incorporating binocular disparity might cause 3D visual fatigue. In order to reduce 3D visual fatigue, it would be necessary to consider indirect ways of reducing 3D visual fatigue as well as eliminating the direct causes of 3D visual fatigue. We have examined the effect of the variables that are expected to affect subjective 3D visual fatigue and these variables included the relative disparity contained in an image, viewing distance and viewing angle. We have also figured out the proper levels of the variables required to minimize 3D visual fatigue. The results indicate that observers began to report significant 3D visual fatigue when the crossed disparity contained in an image exceeded 7.22’ and the vertical viewing angle was larger than 15 degree.

KJSES 19(1) 71-82, 2016 |
ABSTRACT
Consumers tend to perceive the shoes as just their footwear to protect and comfort foot and fashion products to decorate and express their self-images. Even though online market research analysis indicated shoes consumption is important in daily life of consumers, there is limited research that was conducted specifically on shoes e-market. The research investigates the process of shoes’ e-impulse buying focusing on the effects of shopping orientation, marketing stimulus and consumers’ perceived risk in shoes market at Internet. A total of 408 self-administered questionnaires were obtained from universities students, who had experienced the e-impulse buying of shoes at least once for the last six months. Results confirmed that consumers who had higher hedonic shopping orientation or brand shopping orientation were more likely to consider the marketing stimuli (e.g., promotion stimuli and product stimuli), whereas consumers who had higher economic shopping orientation were consider the lower marketing stimuli and the more perceived functional risk in the e-shopping context of shoes. For shoes, marketing stimulus had directly positive effects on e-impulse buying, while consumers’ perceived risk had no significant effects on e-impulse buying. The findings suggest that the market stimulus, which is affected by consumers’ shopping orientation, is an important factor in triggering e-impulse buying of shoes.

KJSES 19(1) 83-94, 2016 |
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to find out the relationships of brain laterality, active EEG over all brain regions and personality traits by measuring EEG signals on the basis of the counseling psychology personality theories. For this study, the EEG of ninety-six college students as measured by an eight channel EEG device and analyzed through the computer and the data of their Big Five Personality Test were analyzed by statistical analysis. The result was that when theta``s laterality at the prefrontal lobe is bigger, neuroticism is higher in the personality factors. On each of the brain regions, theta``s activity on the left of the prefrontal lobe makes higher neuroticism but lower conscientiousness, and beta``s activity on the left of the frontal lobe makes lower extroversion and openness to experience. These results showed that there are statistically meaningful relationships between the brain region activated specific EEG and individual personality or psychological traits. This study branched out into theta band while most previous studies measured in alpha and beta band. Also from these results it suggested the counseling strategy with the brain and follow-up studies.

ABSTRACT
Uncanny valley refers to the condition where the affinity of a human-like object decreases dramatically if the object becomes extremely similar to human, and has been hypothesized to derive from the cognitive load of categorical conflict against an uncanny object. According to the hypothesis, the present study ran an oddball task consisting of trials each displaying one among a non-human, human and uncanny face, and measured event-related potentials (ERPs) for each trial condition. In Experiment 1, a non-human face was presented in 80% of the trials (standard) whereas a human face for another 10% trials (target) and an uncanny face for the remaining 10% trials (uncanny). Participants’ responses were relatively inaccurate and delayed in both the target and uncanny oddball trials, but neither P3 nor N170 component differed across the three trial conditions. Experiment 2 used 3-D rendered realistic faces to increase the degree of categorical conflict, and found the behavioral results were similar to Experiment 1. However, the peak amplitude of N170 of the target and uncanny trials were higher than the standard trials while P3 mean amplitudes for both the target and uncanny trials were comparable but higher than the amplitude for the standard trials. P3 latencies were delayed in the order of the standard, target, and uncanny trials. The changes in N170 and P3 patterns across the experiments appear to arise from the categorical conflict that the uncanny face must be categorized as a non-target according to the oddball-task requirement despite its perceived category of a human face. The observed increase of cognitive load following the added reality to the uncanny face also indicates that the cognitive load, supposedly responsible for the uncanny experience, would depend on the increase of categorical conflict information subsequent to added stimulus complexity.
